Why this site exists

Hi — I’m Emma Colins, the beauty product analyst and content editor behind Eyebrow Gel. I started this site because most “best eyebrow gel” articles read like the same three paragraphs shuffled into different orders: a vague adjective, a stock photo, an affiliate link. None of them go into the actual formula differences between a PVP-based hold gel and a fiber gel, or explain why a product that works fine on dry skin can slide off completely by mid-afternoon on oily skin.

This is an independently run specialist project — not a beauty-industry publication with a large editorial staff. I’m building it out one properly-researched guide at a time rather than publishing dozens of pages at once, because the alternative is exactly the kind of thin, interchangeable content this site is trying to be the opposite of.

What I mean by “properly researched”

Every product page on this site is checked against the published evaluation criteria — hold performance, ingredient composition, skin-type compatibility, and value — before it’s checked against anything else. Where I’ve personally used a product, that’s stated plainly. Where a recommendation is based on ingredient analysis and aggregated public reviews rather than my own hands-on testing, that’s stated plainly too. I’d rather under-claim than repeat the industry-standard pattern of vague, unverifiable “our expert team” language.

Where the site is right now

Early stage. The foundational pages — this one, the methodology, and the trust & disclosure policy — are live first, on purpose, because I think a review site should explain its standards before it publishes its first ranking. Product guides are being added from there.
